About
Welcome to Earth Herbal! We have lots of information contained herein, and we love sharing. Since information constitutes knowledge, and knowledge is power, we offer to share our power. The power to heal ourselves, the power to grow younger, externally and internally, and the power to become closer to Mother Earth, without whom we would not be here, are the powers we offer to share. We offer to empower the planet through education and information sharing, because the more you know, the better you can be. Please familiarize yourself with the site, because though its changing regularly, as updates are posted on each “new discovery”, the basic layout will not change. The archives will always work, and if you seek specific information, please feel free to search for your topic. Since many times our lives get to be rather busy, (and like standard organization systems, it has to become part of your life before it starts to work) we have to integrate each change wholly, completely, and totally. I have integrated changes in my life, and it has to become total before it becomes second nature. That is how we learn to care for ourselves, how we learn to change our eating habits, how we change the impact of the environment on our bodies, and how we protect ourselves from premature aging and disease. Change is a constant in life, and to that end, I suggest reading the articles I have collected and making educated choices in your daily life.
Because we make it a part of our daily lives to be near animals (unless, of course, you are deathly allergic), I have collected information on the animals we live near and with. I have dedicated a page to each creature, and each page is loaded with research on them. I have very little in the way of articles on the pages, but there were a few rather interesting snippets I simply couldn’t resist. I have 4 cats, all of them unique and different, 2 of whom don’t get along, because one wants to intimidate the other, and the other, because he doesn’t like the way he’s treated. Serious Cattitude there. The other 2 are mostly still kittenish, and bound to remain that way forever. (Yay for neutering!) I’ve changed a lot about my eating habits in the last 6 months, and have discovered that Stevia, that sweet leafed plant, has so many health benefits, especially for diabetics. My friend Steve (not his real name, I just used that for effect) is diabetic, and has voluntarily been a guinea pig for my evil experiment regarding stevia. He likes it. We drink green tea now, not green soda. We use Stevia in the Raw, made by the same company that does Sugar in the Raw, and it’s awesome. Price, low; packet number, high; value: better than Truvia & that other brand, I can’t remember the name of.
I’ve been working hard on finding a way through this past year, and it seems to have worked. The year has been survived, 2009 is no more, and I’m still here. I’m working on a book about a cat or three, hard to tell right now, but I think there might be a sweet ending for it. Only on chapter 3, so no telling so far. I’m still trying to get a weekly article up, but lately it’s been difficult. I’ve got so much on my plate, crocheting, learning to knit, church, work, and book, that it’s hard to find the time to fit a hobby in. (I think my SuperPoke pet, Samwise, must be dead now, except that my friends feed him when I’m not paying attention.) If I manage to get an article each week up, I’ll be happy. I’ll try to get more, but hey, fibromyalgia, seizures, cats, job, family, yarn, the list goes on why I haven’t done my every day article. I’m hoping that I’ll have the gumption (let me crawl out of bed first, okay?), the incentive (tell me again how happy I’ll be for helping the rest of humanity?), and the time (more than 24 hours in one day, please!), to get back to an article a day. I’ll get there. I’m not asking for donations for the funeral fund anymore, that’s been taken care of, and bills paid, but I’ve got this cute little donate button, just if you feel the need to do so. It might get the book published a bit sooner. I sure hope it does.
